We run hands-on AI workshops for companies: Claude Cowork, Claude Code, ChatGPT Work, and Codex. Laptops stay open the whole time, and everyone works on their own job, with the goal of leaving with something running.
Why hands-on
People adopt AI tools the first time one saves them an hour on their own work. The workshop is built around getting attendees there, with help in the room to get unblocked. We keep groups small; corporate AI training works better when everyone can ask questions.

Claude training for the whole company
Claude shows up in two places in a company: Claude Cowork for day-to-day work and Claude Code for engineering. We run Claude training for both, and teams often book them as a pair.
Who we are
We're Backland Labs, a San Diego studio. We build AI systems for clients and run the San Diego AI Tinkerers chapter and the San Diego Claude Community. Across 12 events, our meetups, workshops, and hackathons have drawn 1,341 sign-ups, with builders from Intuit, Qualcomm, ServiceNow, Google, and Microsoft. The workshops draw on that work.

Yes. Every workshop runs on-site or virtual.
Do you customize the material?
Yes. We ask about your team's actual workflows before the session and build exercises around them.
How many people can attend?
We keep groups small enough that everyone gets hands-on help. For bigger teams we run multiple sessions.
How is this different from an online course?
A course teaches the tool; we work with your team on their own work, hands-on, and help everyone get unblocked.
